Description

Apprenticeships are proven workforce development tools that offer valuable opportunities to both workers and businesses in today’s economy. Apprenticeships to successfully reach individuals starting an apprenticeship need initial support in overcoming significant barriers. Providers such as your organization are critical to the success of this winning model for young adults, employers, and the economy.

Please join Young Invincibles and The Chicago Job Council for our series of Apprenticeship 101 workshops geared towards workforce professionals and service providers where you can learn about all the basics of apprenticeship models and the role you can play to take advantage of the opportunities related to apprenticeship models in Illinois.

  • Best practices associated with Illinois four apprenticeship models: pre-apprenticeships, youth apprenticeships, non-registered apprenticeships, and registered apprenticeships.
  • Have a clear picture of the various roles (e.g., supportive services, or preparation provider) organizations like you can play with apprenticeship programs.
