Apprenticeship 201 Workshop City of Rockford

05/03/2019 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM CT

Description

Full-day workshops are aimed at helping workforce professionals and service providers develop a clear vision of the apprenticeship model they want to launch in their community. Throughout the workshop, the participants will develop a logic model to identify the inputs (including funding resources, employer, education partner, targeted population, occupation-aligned curriculum, and community partners for population appropriate-supports) and activities that will lead to the short and long-term outcomes that are articulated in their vision statement towards supporting more diverse and equitable apprenticeship models.

After the workshop the attendees will gain new skills such as:

  • Attendees will leave the workshop with a clear vision for the apprenticeship model that they plan to launch in their community
  • Attendees will demonstrate comprehension of their agency’s value proposition by creating and delivering an elevator pitch
  • Develop an action plan that prepares them to pilot their apprenticeship models
