Wealth & Wellness is a financial education curriculum created by the Asset Building team at Heartland Human Care Services, recognized by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. This two-day train-the-trainer session will assist you in integrating financial capability services (including education and coaching) and promoting healthy financial habits among staff and participants alike.

After attending this training, you will be able to:

  • Navigate financial products & services
  • Understand the composition and interpretation of credit scores
  • Recognize common challenges to financial well-being faced by consumers in low-income communities
  • Empower your participants with tools that encourage positive financial habits, including multiple strategies for budgeting  

The content has been updated in 2018 and includes infusion of Transforming Impossible into Possible (TIP), an evidence-based non-cognitive model from the Center for Research on Self-Sufficiency at Loyola University Chicago, designed to build hope and future orientation.

 

This training is offered by Heartland Human Care Services, with funding provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The $50 member/non-member price covers the cost of food.
