Since March 2020, more than 2.4 million Illinoisans have filed for unemployment. Sixty percent of Black households and 74% of female-headed single parent households don’t have enough earnings to make ends meet. CJC exists to change that through the stability that comes with a good job.

We work strategically to bring about long-term change in the lives of our neighbors with the greatest need. Our time-tested approach works to improve services to job-seekers at every level. Click here to read more about our mission.
